Feathered Friends Paper 18 chance
Paper piecing is not my favorite type of quilting mostly due to my dislike of the fabric waste. However, this book has excellent patterns / projects for birds that I think those who don’t like to applique or want a faster way to achieve these designs will truly enjoy. Directions are easily understood and implemented. TIPS: (1) If you are new to paper piecing, try using BATIK fabrics that have no right or wrong side. This helps you to avoid using “Mr. Ripper” when you place your fabric the wrong way against the paper piecing pattern. (2) Use a two-ply thread like Aurifil Mako 50 wt (Aurifil 50 wt Taupe is my color preference for all piecing) and a thinner needle 75/11 or 70/10 sharps. These help eliminate bulk especially with the very small pieces.

I like Friends Making Them Making
It worked well until the day it died, but it broke after 18 months of very light use (1000 sq ft home with berber carpeting). As a Consumer Reports rated product, I expected it to last a little longer (my last vacuum was a cheap Dirt Devil that I had for 10 years!). The pet hair attachment is awesome but the hose is too short to really use and the extension hose they sell here on Amazon isn’t any better. Overall I couldn’t really recommend this product. BIG disappointment.

No more .. Counting Twelve Book Friends
Outstanding grooming tool for our pug. It hasn’t cured him of leaving fur everywhere he walks but it sure helps. I ended up buying my sister one for her two pugs an hour after we used ours for the first time and she was ecstatic after using it.

Wow! and African Money Friends
The bottom line on this book is that anyone from North American who is working with Africans in either the public sector, with non-profits or in business needs to read this book. I would also encourage African leaders working with Westerners to read this book. The book is designed to help Africans and Westerners understand how each other thinks about money and relationships — and it does an excellent job at this. This book is essential reading for Westerners and Africans working in partnership.

Twilight honestly didn’t sound like my cup of tea when I was first told by friends what the story was about. However, one of them dared me to read it, interested in what my opinion would be.
To be honest, I had to force myself to keep going past page six. Bella honestly struck me as a total idiot. I remember my teen-aged years, and know that we don’t all make wonderful choices during them, but good night! She’s interested in the guy who looks at her like he hates her and wants to kill her? Really?
Actually, the only character I had any liking for whatsoever was Jacob. Bella was an overdramatic doormat, Edward was…I don’t know, but not a very appealing character, and all the rest, even the bad guys, seemed like watery back drops to the unsettling, weird relationship developing between Bella and Edward.
