This product has incredible cleaning power. I used my previous steam cleaner until it started leaking half way through a whole-house cleaning. It was a good product (Bissell), and I used it frequently for about 6 years with no complaints until it died. I recleaned the area I had just cleaned with the old cleaner, and the Hoover got much more dirt up than I expected. It left the carpet drier than my old cleaner did. I thought my carpets were relatively clean until I used this Hoover model and saw all the dirt that my old cleaner left behind. The surge clean feature and the brushes worked well and helped remove several stains that I thought were permanent. I highly recommend this steam cleaner. It was a bonus that it arrived sooner that expected, too.
